How did you first get introduced to the outdoor lifestyle?

Went to Estes Park, CO on a family reunion and hiked to “The Loch” in RMNP. I fell in love instantly and knew the mountains were my home.

What is your most memorable outdoor story?

During my trek up La Plata Peak, I got off the trail and stepped into some serious puddles from the downpour the night before. Luckily, I always bring a trusty pair of sandals just for that reason. However, I failed to realize that the rain from the night before would be snow at the peak, which was above 14,000 feet. Regardless, I continued my hike and ended up making my way up La Plata with no feeling in my toes. Snow and Sandals, not a good combination.

Besides going on adventures and being outside, what are you passionate about?

I enjoy skating and cars.

If you had one tip for beginners getting into outdoor recreation, what would it be?

Send it!!! You’re never going to feel “ready” and you will always have doubts, so just send it! Sometimes the learning curve is rough, but with a strong will and a true love for nature, you will prevail.
